GSRP Enrollment Process

Let’s get ready for GSRP 2027–2028!

We’d love to have your child stay with us next year! To keep your priority for a GSRP spot at Novi Woods, please submit your complete application to Oakland Schools, including proof of your child’s age, by midnight on December 6, 2026, and select Novi Woods Montessori. If you miss this deadline, your child will enter the later placement process, where Oakland Schools prioritizes spots by income and other factors. This could make it harder—or mean there is no GSRP spot available for your child.

Mark your calendar

Apply November 9–December 6, 2026 and choose Novi Woods Montessori.
Your application and proof of your child’s age must be submitted by midnight on December 6. Please apply early so we have time to help if anything is missing. Children must be four by December 1, 2027. Not sure if your child is eligible? Just ask us!

Get ready now

You don’t need to wait until November 9 to get organized. Here’s what to have ready:

  • Proof of your child’s age: a birth certificate, passport, or current immunization record. Take a clear photo or scan and save it on the device you’ll use to apply. This is the required upload for the early application.
  • Your MiECC login, if you already have an account, plus your current contact information and your child’s details.
  • Other paperwork to keep handy: proof of address, household income information, and your child’s
    immunization and physical exam records. You may be asked for these as you finish enrollment; the early priority deadline specifically requires proof of age.

How to sign up starting November 9

  1. Go to version4.miecc.org/CaregiverPortal/63. A computer may be easiest.
  2. Choose “Services for my child,” then “Preschool,” and select the 2027–2028 school year. If you don’t see that year, check with us before going ahead.
  3. When asked whether you have a provider in mind, choose Novi Woods Montessori. If there’s a comments box, add: “My child currently attends Novi Woods Montessori, and we’d like to stay here for 2027–2028.”
  4. Sign in or create an account, fill out the requested information, and submit your application. If you can’t find Novi Woods in the list, ask us for help.
  5. Upload your child’s proof of age. Look under Members → your child’s name → Documents and follow the upload prompts. Make sure this is done by December 6!
  6. Let our office know you’ve applied. Keep an eye on your messages and send in anything else requested. Once your child’s age document is approved, we can move forward with enrollment and any remaining school forms.

Why it helps to apply early

Current families who apply on time and choose Novi Woods get priority to stay here before new families are placed. That gives your child a strong chance of a spot with us. We’ll let you know when enrollment is confirmed.


Later placement starts January 18, 2027, with spots filled in order of income.
