Pre-School Lead Teacher – Montessori Certified

Responsibilities and Duties
-Overseeing the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Montessori curriculum and child assessment.
-Delegating various tasks to associate instructors to ensure proper classroom management.
-Responsible for ensuring compliance with our school and the State of Michigan’s licensing standards
-Providing daily information to the parents and establishing positive relationships with families.
-Developing and maintaining an appropriate environment.
-Interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning.
-Overseeing caregiving staff for a specific group of children and overall care and supervision of children.
-Be at least 19 years of age.
-Participation in staff and training meetings.
-Communicating appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff.
-Committing to continuing education (24 hours of training each year, including CPR and First Aid are required)
-Maintaining a clean environment for all students

Qualifications and Skills
Montessori Credential with 480 hours experience
Required experience:
Child Care: 3+ years
Job Type: Full-time

Toddler Lead Teacher – Montessori Certified

Responsibilities:

-Interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning.
-Overseeing caregiving staff for a specific group of children and overall care and supervision of children.
-Be at least 19 years of age.
-Participation in staff and training meetings.
-Communicating appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff.
-Committing to continuing education (24 hours of training each year, including CPR and First Aid are required)
-Maintaining a clean environment for all students

Qualifications:
One of the following education/coursework & hours experience options are required. A candidate will not be considered without required education/experience.
1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in early childhood education, child development, or a child-related field
2. Associate’s degree or higher in early childhood education or child development
3. Montessori Credential with 480 hours experience
4. Valid child development associate credential with 480 hours experience
5. High school diploma/ GED with 12 semester hours and 960 hours experience
6. High school diploma/ GED with a combination of: 12 semester hours and/or 18 CEUs to equal 180 clock hours with 1920 hours experience
7. High school diploma/ GED with a combination of: 6 semester hours and/or 9 CEUs to equal 90 clock hours with 3840 hours experience

Required experience:
Child Care: 1 year preferred

Preschool Assistant Teacher

Job Requirements include:
Assisting lead teachers with the day to day operations of the classroom
Maintain a well-organized classroom
Establish a positive relationship with the students and parents.
Promote good eating habits with the children
Job Type: Full-time or Part-time available

Required education:
High school or equivalent

Required experience:
Child Care: 1 year preferred
